My grandma is from Oklahoma. She says warsh (wash) and ammands (almonds). One of my coworkers says warsh also. My friend from N. Carolina and I were talking about people who hold up traffic because they are staring at an accident or something. In California we call them looki-loos (not sure of the spelling on this) and she calls them rubberneckers. She has the thickest accent too. I swear I am going to come home from Tennessee with an accent and my friends and family are gonna laugh at me.

Q-tips staple remover / staple taker outter (haha, I space out sometimes, so I call it the latter) piece /sheet (either/or) notepad pen folder / file / peechee (it used to be peechee. Now it depends. For me, file it kind of the plural for folder. So, if there's more than one folder, they are files, lol) outlet / plug index finger ring finger pinky driver's ed postage stamp / stamp label / sticker elementary school post
Jacket: light-weight, almost a raincoat, water-resistant, a little warm Coat: warm, puffy Raincoat: not very warm, water-resistant, really noisy when you put it on
Sweat shirt: the same as a hooded sweat shirt Sweater: it's what your grandma knitts for you, rotfl.
Highway: it all depends Freeway: it all depends
blue and indigo are the same.
I'm looking at a screen/monitor A computer is the brain, not the eyes, haha.
Q-tips Staple remover PIECE of paper Notepad pen folder outlet index finger ring finger pinky driver's ed stamp label / sticker (both - they're different things to me) elementary school / grade school (I say either - and in my district, it's primary school LOL) post / message (either)
Are a ____ and _____ the same or different? Explain.
jacket / coat / raincoat - Different. A jacket is more lightweight than a coat, and a raincoat is like a slicker - made of that plasticy material that is water repellent. A jacket or coat may not be water repellent.
highway / freeway - Different. A freeway is bigger than a highway (busier, more lanes) and doesn't have stoplights. A highway can have stoplights.
blue / indigo - Different. Indigo is more of a purpley-blue than just plain blue.
What you're looking at right now, is it a screen, a monitor, a computer, or a computer monitor?
I say screen or monitor... just depends.

labels and stickers... I wasn't even thinking about regular stickers, just labels. Like, stuff that comes on a product, not the kind you could have fun with, lol. Sorry, I guess I should have specified that before.
Isn't a primary school just the upper elementary grades, though? Or is it really just elementary in general?
lol. Around here, the freeway / highway thing... it all depends on which major highway / freeway you're talking about. And I don't mean it depends on size and all that. It just depends.
We Quebec folk have our own language altogether. It's most commonly refered to as joile, but anyone who learned proper french would have no idea what someone from Quebec was saying for the most part It's fun though, when i'm down in the US speaking french people mistake it for all kinds of languages.
Funny how a melody, sounds like a memory, like a soundtrack to a July saturday night...

LOL, I am learning french, but I didn't know it was that different in Quebec! That's funny. What's different about it?
