Ketchup, never catsup

Duck Tape, I have a hard time pronouncing the t, it slows me down xD
couch
pop
Ter-on-to and Wash-ing-ton
ummm... illinois... let's just say, when I was a kid I'd read it in books and always said the s, I pronounced it "Illinoise", but then when I was in the US in 2003 I heard my cousin say it without the s, so I learned to say it right
The thing about the "Gays" town is funny xD

Julie...theres really a town named Gays in Illinois?!?!?! Some others I found was like the town Paris (gag me), or McLean ;D. Then theres one called Arrowsmith and Winnebago. Theres one thats about an hour and a half north of me called Lake In The Hills...Who names a town that...Or Paw Paw...and lastly...SANDWICH!!! C'mon now LMAO Yep! It's in Southern IL somewhere. Someone from there visited my friend Steve's website once, and he was laughing about it... and then someone from there showed up on my SiteMeter too! There's a Sandwich, IL too! LOL That's probably the one you were thinking of. If you think we have weird-named towns, look at some of the town names in England. They have some very interesting ones LOL. Like Berwick-upon-Tweed... Ottery St. Catchpole... those are mouthfuls! LOL And yep, I went to college in McLean County... yay AJ!

It's one of those that you have to hear it to know. Like Des Moines, the capital of Iowa. It's pronounced "Deh Moyne" (you don't say the S's). Even people in the US wouldn't know that until they study states and capitals though, unless they live in/near Iowa.

^ There's a Des Moines in Washington as well, so I've always known how to pronounce that, lol. Actually, ours is pronounced "Deh Moines". It's just the first "S" that's silent. No wait... I take that back. Our Des Moines can be pronounced with OR without the second "S". It's correct either way.

and i've actually gotten into a debate with my managers about how to say tour...I say it like tore...but they like to argue with me and say its too-er. Her theory is that a "tore" is some kind of animal....Dont know how true that is though... Hahahaha... maybe they meant a "toro", which is a bull. Ok... onto the things I say... coo-pon cart bag truck? LOL too-er Oh, and did you know that in England, pants are actually guys' underwear??
