I actually do too, hehe (probably cause he's older... 16 is a little young for me anymore! LOL), but it's just the whole principle of replacing the original actor that bugs me. I like continuity. They should have cast the original Jacob with New Moon in mind... and like I said, I think they did; I think Taylor could pull it off if he bulked up and if they gave him another year instead of rushing the movie to be out next year. Based on the interviews I saw with him, he seems like a nice kid who's really dedicated to playing the Jacob the fans love, and I would hate to see that taken away from him.

It sucks, dude...we almost never get snow here anymore. Last week it was in the mid 60's. What REALLY pisses me off, though, is what's happening to the school kids here. For one thing, they got 2 days knocked off their winter break. They'll be in school until Tuesday. More than likely there will be no snow days this school year, so there are some extra days there. PLUS, summer vacation is being shortened by a couple of weeks. In 03, the graduating seniors got out of school in May. Now for the 2009 graduating class, they're kept in school until the first or second week in June. Meaning the underclassmen won't get out of school for the summer until a week or two after that. I'll be damned if Jen and I allow Devon to be put through that. By then it'll be considered normal, but still...we would both rather have him home-schooled. When did they start school though? Last year, we were out in May, and we're not out until June this year, but we also started later this year, so it works out to be the same length school year.

Well, it's official: snow day for me today, which means I'm on winter break a day early! Whoo hoo!

No snow days for me yet, but we're supposed to be getting an ice storm tonight, so possibly tomorrow. Which, honestly, would suck because it's the last day before break, and the kiddos will miss their Christmas parties and other fun stuff. Who wants a snow day on a day when no one really minds going to school anyway? Save it for the new year!

I think it kinda sucks about Taylor too... I just hate it in general when they replace an actor, unless it's out of necessity, like if the former actor dies (like Richard Harris/Dumbledore in HP). They should have kept that in mind when they cast Jacob in the first place. If they would actually wait a couple of years and take their time with New Moon, instead of rushing it to be out next year, they could give him a chance to make that change from teenager into adult. I think if he worked out and bulked up, he'd be fine.

I don't see why it should matter. And I was totally going to say the same thing as Kat - many of the most attractive people in the world are mixed race. Look at Halle Berry or Mariah Carey, for a couple examples. Mixing it up is a beautiful thing.

So we, the 00Carter writers, were talking about how we post the episodes, and we would like your opinions.
Right now, when we update, we always post a full episode, even though we're breaking the episodes up into parts now. The episodes are so long, though, that it seems to take us about 3-4 months to get one written. I hate that it takes so long, but even with a lot of nagging to get parts written as quickly as possible, that's the way it is right now.
We were thinking that since the episodes are split up into parts anyway, we could choose to post them part by part instead of all at once and be able to update more regularly - say, one part a week. That way, we could be working on the next episode as we're posting the previous one, and by the time we finished posting the previous episode, we'd hopefully be ready to start posting the next one. Hence, no more long gaps between updates.
Since there are pros and cons to either way, we would love some input from the readers. Which way would you prefer?
Again, here are your options:
A. Post episodes in their entirety, in one update
Pros: - More continuity - you can read the whole episode at once and don't have to wait a week to find out what happens next. - Bigger updates - more to read!
Cons: - LOTS to read at once; it may be overwhelming. - Long stretches in between updates
B. Post episodes part by part, in weekly updates
Pros: - Less to read at once; less overwhelming - More regular updates
Cons: - Less continuity because the episode will be posted over several weeks instead of all at once - Smaller updates
Please let us know what you would like better as a reader!

Awesome Anita!!
I got mine on Thursday... my online order had gotten cancelled, so I was just going to buy it at the store. I walked into Kroger (grocery store), of all places, and it was there for 40% off! Whoo hoo!
Have you read it yet? I read it this weekend. Loved it! The stories were all good, and Dumbledore's commentary was even better - funny! LOL JKR continues to prove she is brilliant!
