LOL yeah... I don't dig the long hair, even though I know it's part of the culture he's portraying. At least pull it back in a ponytail... isn't that how it's described in the books usually?

Good for you, Gozde! Congrats on doing well with your job... and good for you for not taking your boyfriend back. It sounds weird to say, but it takes a lot of strength to be able to do that, to know what you want and do what's best for you, even if it's also hardest. So many girls fall into the trap of getting back into the same unhealthy relationships again and again because they think even a bad relationship is better than being alone.
Also, you know we're glad you're a part of 00Carter. It wouldn't have become what it has without every one of us! ;D

Oh c'mon Amy, of course you knew it was AJ's b-day. You never forget the birthdays of guys you are/were obsessed with! I don't, anyway LOL. Two days ago, it was the birthday of this guy I had a crush on when I was in 8th grade and he was in 7th, and I still remembered THAT. Anyway... hope AJ's having a fantastic day, and yeah, I can't believe he's 31 either! Next year is gonna be really weird, when Nick turns 30 and NONE of them are still in their 20s! I'm gonna feel really old then LOL.

Ooh... that doesn't seem that far away! Only a couple more months... well a couple and a half... even so, it's better than the wait for other movies. They're really speeding this whole Twilight thing along! LOL
I'm curious to smell the perfume, although did you see on Perez that they totally ripped off the design of the bottle from another perfume? Doh!

Wow, I had to go WAY back to dig this thing up!
I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button yesterday, and it was really good! Reminded me of a cross between Forrest Gump and The Notebook. Brad Pitt was amazing in it, and I'm not even a big fan of him usually. It was a long movie, but interesting. It makes you think. I read the short story it was based on online last night, and I have to say, I like the way they interpreted it in the movie a lot better LOL.

Today is the two-year anniversary of 00Carter's conception! LOL At 4:32 a.m. CST on January 2, 2007, the idea began to take shape on the AbsoluteChaos forum. I wish we had more than six episodes to show for it by now LOL, but I guess the fact that the story got off the ground and is still in progress two years later is something.
Anyway, along with that, I just wanted to say that we are going to try posting the story in shorter parts rather than whole episodes at a time, starting with posting "It's a Small World" on AbsoluteChaos. We're going to start this Sunday and post a new part each Sunday until the whole episode is up. HOPEFULLY by then, we'll have the next episode done and ready to start posting on both the site and AC. Anyone reading this, you'll have to let us know if you like that way of posting better than the old way!

..... I met the Backstreet Boys. I think that's it. Congrats to everyone else for accomplishing so much more! Eh, you're young. Surviving high school and meeting Bsb is plenty big enough!

Oh yeah, lol, I forgot to put: I went to the SUPPOSED last BSB concert for the Unbreakable tour. And you didn't even get Kevin... lame!

Julie, you accomplished so much this year! Good for you! I hope that didn't sound like I was bragging. I wasn't trying to; I just kinda realized this was a big year for me, in terms of becoming not only adult but totally independent. It sounds like you had a year kind of like that too, for different reasons! It's not always fun, having to act like an adult LOL.

I know for me, I survived my first year of teaching and managed to get hired back for a second one LOL. I moved out, got an apartment, and am living by myself for the very first time, fully financially independent. I got my first credit card and have managed not to go crazy with it and get myself into debt already LOL. I bought my second car, after the first car I bought myself was totaled over the summer. I went to my first Cubs game in Chicago... actually, two of them! I went to NYC, and I saw Daniel Radcliffe in person! I went to two more Bsb concerts and finally got to meet the guys... twice!! I finished By My Side, finally! I started a new novel that does not contain Nick and Claire, and I wrote several short stories, the first I'd written in several years. I voted in my second presidential election, this time for Barack Obama, our first black president. Looking back, 2008 was a pretty cool year for me!

So it's officially New Year's Eve where I live, and I thought it was time to make one of these "year in review" sort of threads. Think back to 2008. Was it a good year for you? Not such a great year?
What were your biggest accomplishments this year? Give us some highlights!
