I slept a grand total of 4,5 hours and spent 4 hours at a hospital this morning! But it was for a university project and I totally enjoyed it so no worries people: I'm just fine (although exhausted). Why my university thought it would be a good idea to take us almost two hours away for practice in a hospital is beyond me, but all the same, it was so awesome, that you should've been there.

how true! And I still managed to stay up until 1:30 am! Seriously though, paying close to 20€ (28 dollars) is a bit of an exageration for "public" transportation. That's what someone told me she spent on trains and subways to get there! Luckily I found someone who had to go too and drove me.

So we did a CPR class today (yes, on a Saturday, and no that's not usually a school day) and a girl was having a lot of trouble getting the breathing part right, she must have tried it like 15-20 times. We were all yelling out suggestions on how to do it better and the teacher chimed in with "but don't close your eyes, he's not your boyfriend!" I don't know if it translates as funny as it was but it made my day and you totally should have been there.

LOL!! That is funny!
Did they tell you to do chest compressions to "Staying Alive"? LOL I read an article awhile back (or somebody might have even posted it here?) that said if you sing Staying Alive in your head, you'll be able to keep up the 100 bpm cause it fits the tempo of that song perfectly. I thought it was funny, but a good thing to remember!
I think Quit Playing Games was another one, which is why I think it might have been posted on a Bsb forum (LD, probably). Also funny, considering it's Quit Playing Games With My Heart LOL.

Oh my! I love those... not to mention the song titles really fit... there's also "Heartbreaker", "Strong heart", "don't go away" and "When it all goes wrong" on the list... funny!

Not at all! The doctor who did it was a neurologist and has done it plenty of times. He said it's not always *that* easy, but in this case the needle slid right into the spot and the patient was very cooperative.
I got lucky, too, cause he probably has a very rare disease and the likelihood of me actually seeing a patient who has it was pretty slim. I probably won't see another in my whole career. I feel bad for saying I'm lucky though! Poor patient and his family!
