ER fans... come on out! It's the 15th and final season, and I'm feeling nostalgic for my beloved ER, the greatest show of all time. Who's with me? For those who are or were fans of the show, who are your favorite characters? Favorite moments? Let's share!

I'M HERE!!
lol
I would always watch ER when I was out of school cause they show it every day in the morning at 10 and 11.
I was always a fan of Carter! and Mark. I ATILL can't believe the killed him off!
Wait.. Are Abby and Luka MARRIED!!?!?!

Yeah, Abby and Luka are married, except it's been all drama with those two. They spent most of last season falling apart... they're still together, but now Luka's off the show, and Abby will be leaving to move with him this season. I'm sad, cause they are two of my favorite characters... I wanted them to be happy together and ON THE SHOW. But I guess at this point, it really doesn't matter.
My favorite couple will always be Doug and Carol. Doug is my favorite character from Seasons 1-5, and Luka is from Seasons 6 till now.
I busted out my Season 1 DVD and have been watching it... I'm on Episode 4. Now that I'm done reading Twilight, I need something else to waste my time with, so I decided I'm going to work my way through my ER DVDs... I have up to Season 5, and I've never even opened Season 5. I feel like I've seen the episodes so many times because I watched them on TNT every day in high school and college, so I watched them cycle through the seasons several times. But it's been awhile since then, so it's fun watching the old ones again. They are so much BETTER than the recent episodes. The patients are more interesting, and the whole thing is so much less soap-operaish.

I never really watched ER on a regular basis, but I do like it a lot. I was so sad to see Greg die last week. And unfortunately, I'll be at work next week, so I won't be able to watch that episode.

Aww, I didn't know you even watched ER.
My eyes keep welling up as I watch Season 1... like in the pilot episode, every moment that they showed in the credits for all those years... brought tears. And I just watched Carter deliver his first baby, and that made me cry too LMAO.

I LOVED DOUG AND CAROL!! And I always wanted Carter and Abby to stay together.
Also, I liked the seasons the origianl cast instead of the newer people. I think that after they got rid of Carter, it wasn't the same... For me.
Did you buy all 5 seasons or were they gifts?

I liked Carter and Abby... but I actually always liked Luka and Abby better, so I was so happy when they got back together! They're just annoying now because they're always so miserable... constant drama! It's just like, ugh, be happy already!!!
It really hasn't been the same for me since Mark died at the end of Season 8... from there, it was all kind of downhill. And when Carter left, yeah... that was the end of an era officially. At least Noah Wyle has been good enough to return from time to time. HE, at least, realizes this is the show that made his career. I like George Clooney, but his whole "ER is the past; I make movies now" attitude about it is pissing me off. I would LOVE to see him and Julianna Margulies return for the series finale... and Sherry Stringfield, Eriq LaSalle, Laura Innes, Alex Kingston, etc.
The DVDs were all gifts. When they first started putting out the DVDs, I asked for one set every Christmas and birthday... I haven't gotten any of the ones since Season 5 though, and they're up to 9 now, so I'm gonna have to catch up! I'm pretty hard to buy gifts for these days because I never know what to ask for, so at least that's something my family can get me for Christmas.

HAHA! I can imagine all the drama between them! It was like that when they were datng!
All of the original cast is gone and, yeah, after Mark.. nothing was the same. I even like Romano a tad bit. LOL And George shouldn't be ashamed of ER. That was his big break!... Whateves.
Oh My! Lol. Imagine you see a big rectangular object every year for Christmas and thinking, "HM I wonder what this is?" Haha
Wait.. Is John Stamos dating Neela!?

I liked Romano too!! He was an interesting character, and because he was such a jerk most of the time, his rare sweet moments (especially toward Elizabeth) were especially endearing. I will never forgive the ER writing staff for his demise. I think that's when ER jumped the shark for me, with that episode in Season 10... we can call it "crashing the helicopter" instead of "jumping the shark" for ER LOL.
Actually, I think John Stamos (Tony) is with Sam now. He was dating Neela, and there was kind of a love triangle with Ray (Shane West), but that was the season before last. It got complicated... naturally LOL.

The whole "lets-chop-his-arm-off-with-a-chopper and then-have-a-chopper-fall-on-him" was WAY too much!
They are? never saw THAT coming! lol And what happened with Michael? And Ray?!
I am SO behind! haha

LOL! Michael (Gallant, right?) got killed in Iraq a couple of years ago. Neela and Ray had kind of a flirtation/sexual tension thing going on that I don't think ever got very far, but she kinda led him on while she was with Gates (John Stamos), and then Ray got hit by a bus and lost both of his legs. No, I'm not kidding. He got trashed at a wedding (I think it was Abby and Luka's?), and Neela called him afterwards, and he stopped in the middle of the street to answer his phone, and got hit by a bus. It was the most ridiculous thing in the world, after the vendetta that helicopter had against Romano LOL. Now Neela is flirting with this new Aussie doctor, Gates is with Sam, and Abby's last episode on the show is next week. Sad, sad...

It was an okay episode... at least better than the premiere. Typical ER disaster episode though (I wonder if every episode this season will be like that? LOL). New interns came, and three of them got stuck in a room with Gates and a patient who had some kind of biochemical weapon powder stashed in his clothes, and it was released when they tried to cut off his clothes, and they had to quarantine them and bring in the Hasmet people and all of that. Drama. Of course it all turned out alright in the end.
Angela Bassett joined the show as the new doctor to replace Pratt, and she's a bitch with a tragic past... I'm inferring that her son was killed, but we don't know yet. Blah blah blah.
Oh, and the surgeons want Dubenko to come back. That's about it.

Ohh... okay, thank you very much, Julie! Hopefully I'll be able to stay awake tonight to watch it. (I've only had two days off work in the last two weeks) haha, we'll have to see though.

Did you end up watching it Thurs. night?
I'm glad Abby got a good send-off... I would have been upset if Luka hadn't made a final appearance, and I'm glad they had the little kissing scene to show that they are happy together. Much deserved for both those characters.
My favorite part was the wall of locker nametags... I was like, aww!!! And so appropriate for Heleh, cause I believe she is the only one left who has been on the show consistently since the very first episode.
