I know for me a big reason is that it's one of the only things that is mine. Ya know? I won't want to share with anyone in RL, even if they did accept it.

I feel like I have this interesting, cool hobby that no one else (out of my real life friends) has. It's just a secret hobby LOL. But I love being able to share it with other people who like the same thing.

I'm one of those people that write fanfic that is older than probably 98% of the people on this forum. My family knows and they tease me constantly about it and my husband has told me I'm crazy to write for free...and the 'why don't you write a book about something other than Nick Carter...'
I did finally allow my co-workers to see a link to my story page and my boss actually was hooked reading Undercover Guardians LOL.
There are days where I think I'm crazy to write fan fic, but I'm hooked and I like reading some stories too. I guess you never grow out of this stuff. Problem with writing lately is finding a quiet place without interruptions! Since I stopped working midnights my time isn't the same.
I figure as long as you're doing something you enjoy, you might as well keep on doing it. It gives some people pleasure from reading what you've written and maybe in some way you feel good about yourself when you write something and get feedback!

That's really cool that everyone accepts it as a normal pastime. I'm trying very hard to get my boyfriend just to listen to them and like it. But he will never know about fan fics...

I always put in this new mixed cd I made that's all BSB and just complain until I get my way. He likes "Drowning" a lot. Tonight was the first time ever he actually picked a song he wanted to listen to and sang along. I was amazed. I've always told him that if they come here, he's going with me. He said he would as long as he and my other guy friend get to wear one of my old concert shirts. He wants to wear it really tight with him stomach showing. LOL

He goes, "When I'm in the truck by myself, sometimes I put in this cd and sing along." My face light up and I said, "Really?" Then he told me no. I was almost there.

Hahaha. Oh my god, you were so close! But i think at the end, he's telling you about his intention of doing it but he just doesn't. LOL A couple of nights ago, in a channel where they show old concerts, they showed the Millenium concert and my boyfriend called. When i told him what i was watching he just said, "oh ok, i'll call you when it's over." Even being this understanding is enough for me actually.

My 21 year old brother went with me to my first BSB concert summer of 05. He wanted to go! We drove out and he was jamming and singing along to all the songs on Chapter 1. He blames it on hanging out with my mother and I when he was younger. He's straight by the way. Just thought I'd show an example.

Aww, that's so cool!! Your brother rocks LOL. My dad's been to Bsb concerts with me, but not exactly because he WANTED to go, haha.

My dad went with my friend and I to the B&B concert I went to. It was weird. Nick was in some sexual mood I guess, not that I minded, but my dad was right there. Afterward, he knew all of them by name and said that they preformed very well. He thought AJ had the best voice and was proud of him for being sober. LOL My dad had a teeny moment!
