What American accent do you have? Your Result: The Midland "You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio. (I'm not really from SOUTHERN Illinois, but close enough. )

Here's what I got... and yeah, I use some surfer lingo! lol.
Your Result: The West
Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta.

I found another one which is similar; I put the link in my post with the other one. I got the same thing LOL. What American accent do you have? (Best version so far) My Results: Midland ("Midland" is not necessarily the same thing as "Midwest") The default, lowest-common-denominator American accent that newscasters try to imitate. Since it's a neutral accent, just because you have a Midland accent doesn't mean you're from the Midland.

I know, it is interesting!
Well, there really is an accent that people around Chicago have. The SNL Super Fans do a pretty good imitation, but exaggerated to be funny of course LOL. The "Midwestern" accent I think of is more people in Wisconsin and Minnesota, and it's kinda like the "Canadian" accent. And I'm not saying all people who live in those places have it, but some of them sure do!
I'm about 3 hours south of Chicago, though, so I don't have it.

Oh! Something I just remembered that I was gonna post on here was:
my dad pronounces "sill" as in "window sill" like, "seal" lol. Also, when he's saying something like "against the wall" he says "again" instead of "against" LMAO!!! We always tease him for that, lol. Anybody else say these things? lol.

I dunno... everybody in WA sounds the same to me, because we have a little variety everywhere in the first place, so you don't notice the variation.
