In your honest opinion do you think this song is a good choice for them? I personally do, it's very upbeat and catchy, and you hear these types of songs on the radio all the time. This may be wishful thinking, but I think this song could be a hit and maybe convince others to actually go out and buy the album. IF radio stations will play it, which I think they will. Inconsolable sounded way too much like Incomplete, and let's face it, it wasn't that great of a song.
Same as HWSS, it is a GOOD song, but not good enough, IMO to be released.

^Totally agree, I didn't think Inconsolable was the best choice as the first single of a new album, especially when you consider it was the first album after Kevin left. The guys always act safely when they pick singles, rather than taking risks. I guess they thought that Incomplete did great on charts so they releases Inconsolable.
HWSS was good but more and more there seems to be nothing there to differentiate one song from another -not for us, but for everybody else.
As my personal opinion, rather than EBM, I'd have picked Panic or Treat Me Right as the upbeat song and definitely Something That I Already Know as the slow song.
Backstreet Boys' songs are usually the type of songs that means more when you keep listening them. I have to admit, I never really liked any of their songs instantly as I heard them, I need to focus, listen, and digest them in time. But that's just me I guess because it's always the same with all my favorite artists.

People want to hear those types of songs, they are just something that people want to listen too, but I'm still glad they did choose EBM, it's NOT A BALLAD! I know, they've played it safe a lot, and I hope they have FINALLY learned thier lesson with that. I'll also be glad when thier contract with Jive is up too; I believe they have a lot to do with all of this.

There are a lot songs that I have to listen to over agian before I like them. EBM was one of them for example, but it's one of my favorites now. Then again, some of thier songs I can listen to once and be hooked.

yeah, i think Treat Me Right definately would have been better as a single. cause like you guys said, you have to hear most of their songs fisrt. cause like with EBM, i didnt like it that much the first couple times i heard it, but now its one of my favorites.

They need to get a bit edgier and stop singing ballads all the time. Never Gone had great uptempo songs and they just forgone them.

^I know; I loved NG, but Unbreakable is AWESOME. For the simple fact that it has more uptempo song, it's not all ballads. I found myself liking the unreleased songs a lot better than some of the songs that actually made it on the album.
