Me and my frend have had endless debates about this. I personally liked the video, but it did wasn't a good choice for this particular song. It looked kind of cheap, in my opinion. I think that that video ended the NEVER GONE hype in the US. People were probably shocked and they lost interest. They made it up with I STILL, but we, in the US did'nt get to see it. Only on the NG dvd. Just wanted to know everyone else's thoughts were on this!

I liked it, but I agree, it was kind of cheap. I mean, they were sort of making fun of themselves it seemed like... other than that, it was kinda funny, lol.

It was funny! The first time i saw it I was laughing out loud! They said they were trying to make fun of their favorite 80's hair band. But they made themselves looking like fools! ( in a good way!)

"No, it was one of their best videos! I loved it!"
I don't care if it fit the song or not, cause it's not like they have many hairband songs to work with LOL. Besides Beautiful Woman, which wouldn't have worked either, JWYTK is really one of the only upbeat songs on NG they could have used... and I think they needed a fun, upbeat song to go with that video. So it did sort of fit to me.
Anyway, I LOVE that video!! It's definitely in my top 5 favorites. I think it was a genius idea of them, and every non-fan I know who has seen it thinks it's hilarious! I'm not sure why it didn't get more airplay, cause funny videos usually do. Maybe people didn't get it? I mean, it was supposed to look cheap... like a home video shot in the 80s. And it was supposed to make fun of themselves and 80s hairbands and their fans LOL. I think it's great! ;D

^ I agree, lol. I just think that making fun of themselves wasn't the best idea, because people probably made fun of them for it (if that makes sense, lol).

Ah, see I think if people are gonna make fun of you anyway (which they do), might as well show them you can make fun of yourself too!
Doing that was not something non-fans would expect from the Backstreet Boys. Usually their videos are just them standing around looking pretty or dancing around with a bunch of special effects, and this was something totally different and cool from them. Besides it being hilarious, that's why I think it's such a cool, though underrated video.

I LOVED the song and the video both, but they weren't a good match. AT ALL. I just think it was something they REALLY wanted to do, and didn't think about that, but whatever. JWYTK comes on here All the freaking time..I'm getting sick of it. Incomplete too...but I guess it's a good thing I'm getting sick of it, huh? LOL

Kinda shows what a double standard there is, though, cause remember the Blink 182 video for "All the Small Things"? Where they made fun of all the boyband videos and Britney and Christina and whatnot? That video was hilarious, and it was so popular on MTV and stuff, and then the Backstreet Boys try and do the same kind of thing years, and no one really notices LOL. It's too bad.

I just think it was something they REALLY wanted to do, and didn't think about that, but whatever. Yeah, that's what I think too LOL. Lyrically, it doesn't fit the song AT ALL, but since when do their videos do? They usually don't. I think they had the idea, wanted to use it, and took the best song they had for the video. Like I said, they needed something upbeat, and this was what they had. I'm still glad they made it, especially while Kevin was around cause he is HOT in that video! LMAO

I mean how does dancing in an airport fit IWITW? LOL it doesn't. Then the LTL video...it fit, but I HATED IT. UGH! LOL IDK why, but that is my least favorite video of all thier hits. I could go on and on about thier videos. I know everyone of them by heart. But about the Blink 182 thing..who cares about MTV! I NEVER watch it anyway...VH1 was good to them, so that's all that matters to me. MTV SUCKS!

LOL I know! But IWITW is a great video anyway... and omg, the LTL video is my total favorite! LOL I love it. The Call is another one, and that one actually did fit well. And so did Show Me the Meaning.
Yeah, MTV does suck, but it was cool back in like 99 when that Blink video was on... they played Bsb all the time back then.
