Do you guys have a tendency to get attached to the characters in your stories? For me, it's a big problem. For example if I'm going to have a "villian" in a story I have to decied that from the very beginning. I'm not one that can start out writing a character a particular way and then do a complete 360 and decide ok he/she's going to be evil now. It's hard for me to transition to writing a character a completely different way if I haven't planned or at least considered it first. Make sense?

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. I've never written enough of a story to have that attachment myself, but I can definitely understand where you're coming from.

No, that definately makes sense. If you start out writing something one way and then change your mind midway through, there's a good chance that everything else you wrote won't work with the direction you've now decided to go. Rewriting sucks! LOLOL!

Yeah, I do that often in my own stories, and in other people's stories as well. Like Julie's for example, I'm really attached to Claire, and Nick's character in this story. It's like a part of my life. Like I know them personally. It's hard for me to write sometimes because I get so attached to some of my characters, does that make sense?
