that a lot of good fan fic sites are closing. Felfic closed earlier this month, Its A CC thing.net closed and I didn't even realize. Its so sad. lol. I'd start saving stories though because some of these sites are dropping like flies. Don't ever close Julie! lol kidding. Let me save the story first.

Oh I know! I agree with you, but I don't think we have to worry about Julie closing anything down for a while, at least I HOPE NOT!

It makes me sad too. I do save my favorites just for that reason. I got a new geocities account a couple years ago just to start backing them up online in case my computer crashed, cause I've lost some that way (*cough*NickandLizz*cries*) - although I have them backed up on CD now too.
Don't worry, I don't plan to close my site anytime soon, and if/when the time comes that I don't feel like paying for the domain to keep it up anymore, I will at least have the decency to move my stories back to a free account or something so that they will be kept online. And I'll let you know.
I hate it when the sites just shut down with no warning or explanation. That's the worst.

Bronwyn is hosting some of the authors from Felfic at her site www.bronwynsbooks.comI wish I had saved some stories from other sites that closed. I know there is some stuff at backstreet bauhaus. I hope the sites were archived. jenn

I wish Bauhaus Classics would actually update. That site was great about archiving the really popular and classic stuff - I'm sure the felfic stories would have been on there if they're not already. But the site hasn't been updated in forever, and it's all spammed up now. Ugh.

And of course if Julie happens to ever lose a story by mistake or something happens to JULIE, I have them saved to my computer, lol. *wink wink Julie!*
Yeah, I liked Bauhaus Classics! I don't remember many of the stories, but I DO remember that I liked them!
I liked felfic too!!! At least the author that I liked got her own site now!

That's what bothers me the most, sites shuting down with no warning, and the stories are gone forever. Then half the time if you find them some of the parts are missing or something.

The only story I ever read on there was Lyric's story, the Abe series, and she just quit updating the fianl installment. The first two are AWESOME, especially the frist one, but I was bummed to never find out what happened with Nick and Bella.
