Has that ever happened to anyone? I was just wondering because I started reading this really great story called a Father's Love a while back and she just quit writing it. I also loved Lyric's story on felfic, the Abe series and she quit writing that one. I just hate to get really interested in something and then will never know how it ends. That's happened to me several times.

Thats actually happened to me several times! Basically everytime I try to start a new story I find out a little too late that its just not updated anymore or the Author just dissappeared! I have quite a few favorite stories from Authors who dont write anymore, its very upsetting.

Happens all the time, and it sucks. I understand why some people will only read finished stories, although I haven't reached that point. It's fun to read them as they're being written; it's just annoying when authors suddenly stop and don't even explain why.

I have to admit that even if I LOVE the author, if I know the person has a histroy of not finishing what they start, I tend to skip the story altogether these days.

There's quite a few stories out there that I began reading and they were never finished. The ones that are a chapter or two away from being done kill me b/c I just want to see how it ends.

I mean the girl that was writng a Father's Love posted on LD several times in our fan fic threads that she was going to finish writing it, but she never updated so I just quit checking.

I absolutely hate that! The very first fan-fic I read had never been finished (it was called "Heaven in your Eyes") and it bugged the crap outta me! I still read them if it says "In Progress" but if it's "Discontinued"... forget it. The only author I can really trust anymore is Julie!

Don't trust me on my collaborations LOL... those are the ones that tend to end up discontinued even for me. But I rarely discontinue my own stories.

I haven't read any of the collabortions yet, because I've never really liked reading a story that was by more than one person, but I'm planning on reading Code Blue maybe in the future!

I fight really hard not to, but it happens. Which sucks. Yes read Code Blue! *is part of that collab * and read 00Carter! hehehehe. Both are good... Done promoting now lol

Code Blue and 00Carter are actually really good... I think... and I think I can say that without sounding conceited because I'm only a small fraction responsible. Neither story was my idea, and I'm only one of many writers of both. CB may have started out as a collab between me and one other person, but I think it's been a lot better since it became a collaboration between, what, 7 people?

I haven't read either one of those. I want to, but I just never really have the chance to do it.
