My leg has been hurting off and on for more than a month. Mostly it's my knee, sometimes a lot (as in it REALLY hurts to walk), sometimes just a little. I thought maybe I was growing, but I think it would have stopped by now. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it, but Julie, I thought of Broken. (cause I'm just hypochondriac (sp?) like that) And I thought that since you put in so much research on it you can reassure me that it's nothing (since I can't seem to reassure myself). I would appreciate any help, or tips on how to ease the pain or something. Thanks in advance.

Ahhh, you sound like me! LOL I'm such a little hypochondriac sometimes too, and the kind of stuff I read and write only makes it worse. So don't be embarassed; I can empathize with the worrying thing. The summer before 6th grade, I had myself convinced I had leukemia, but was too afraid to do anything about it LOL. I'm sure the fact that I read the book "Six Months to Live," which is about a 13-year-old with leukemia, like 100 times that year had absolutely NOTHING to do with that... But it's been like ten years since then, and I'm still alive, so I guess I didn't have leukemia. The chances of your knee pain really being something like bone cancer are pretty slim... possible, sure, but rare. I'm so, so sorry for putting that thought in your head and making you worry! That said, if you've been in pain for this long and it's bad enough that sometimes it REALLY hurts to walk, the best advice would be to do something about it - go see a doctor and find out why, so that you can find out how to make it better. I googled "knee pain," and here's a site that lists some possibilities as to what MIGHT be causing it, and also some advice and tips and whatnot. www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003187.htmAnd like I said, if it doesn't go away soon, you should just go to a doctor so that you won't have to worry about all the things it could be and just find out how to make it better.

Fine, thanks. The other day it hurt a little but not very much. I hadn't even thought about that.
