I have this idea that someone could choose a fan fic to read. All of us that want to participate have a certain amount of time to read it and then we discuss it.
What does everyone think?

I like this idea, especially since Mare's Fanfic Fun group (which was basically what you suggested) is on hiatus. We could do one here, just start a thread for it and discuss. I can even make a new board just for that. Maybe one of us could be in charge each month... pick the fic and then sort of lead the discussion, get it going and everything.

Erin, it was your idea... if you want to pick the first story and sort of lead the discussion (encourage people to post, maybe ask some open-ended questions to promote some kind of response), you can! Let me know, and I'll make a new board, and we can keep all our Fanfic-o-the-Month discussions in there.

Okay, I'll start. Just give me a couple days to find a good story. I think this board should be fine. Unless, you think we should start a new forum and then have a new thread for every story?
This whole thing reminds me of inner-outer circle in high school. Did anyone ever do that?

This whole thing reminds me of inner-outer circle in high school. Did anyone ever do that? Oh, please, explain! I've found that my high school (school overall) experience has been very different (and at the same time sort of similar) than other people. Perhaps I know what it is, but language can be a barrier, maybe I know it as another name

In a couple English classes I had, we would have an inner and an outer circle and each circle would take turns asking questions to the other. It was meant as a discussion thing.

Oh, sounds cool! Nope, we never did that at my school either, but if you want to do something like that, that's great! Just kind of explain what you want us to do once we get going.

It was just something that sounded fun, but it was just us discussing something. The only thing that was special about it was that we got to move the desks into circles. LOL

Thanks Anita! We actually have a story already for this month, though; there's a thread for it in the sub-forum Fanfic-o-the-Month. That would be great to do next year at this time though!
