I posted what will probably be the final installment of Footprints, "Yellow Roses." I may go back and add more parts in the middle, but this will be the last one chronologically. I wrote it for a 20th anniversary challenge on Absolute Chaos, so it's about Nick and Claire celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. It's pretty sappy! Enjoy!

I’ve posted another segment of Footprints, this one called “Bygones.” This is the first scene I envisioned when I got the idea for the story after watching the season finale of ER in 2007, so it was nice to finally get to write it, six years later… LOL.

Thanks! Someone posted a challenge on AC to write a story about the 20th anniversary of something, and my mind went right to Nick and Claire. I figured it would make a good "footprint" (probably the last "footprint," but I'll go back and add more to the middle), but I had one half-written from five years ago when I started it that I thought I should finish first before starting a new one. So I did, finally LOL. I have a couple more in mind besides the anniversary one, so hopefully I can keep the inspiration going for a little while. It was actually harder than I thought it would be to get back into Broken mode, but once I did, it was like I'd never left LOL.

In case you didn't get to see the Boys get their star on the Walk of Fame live, the ceremony is available to watch on walkoffame.com. WATCH IT!!! You will be so happy for the guys and so proud to call yourself a BSB fan! Just make sure you're alone and have a box of tissues nearby. I was not prepared for how much it would make me cry! Seriously, it was that amazing!!

Me too!! It's been a long time! The Boys have been pretty active with touring and the whole NKOTBSB thing between albums, so it's not like they took a long hiatus, but it's been three and a half years since This Is Us came out, so it's high time they release a new album!
Here is a HQ mix of some of the new song clips posted on the BSB official YouTube channel:

They didn't say. It sounds like these will be on the album; they said it will probably have 13 tracks, plus maybe some bonus tracks, so they may not have decided for sure what those other tracks will be. I know there's a Max Martin song they just recorded they were waiting to hear the final mix on, but think will be really good. Hopefully it will come out sometime this summer; I know Nick said on his chat last week that they would probably be touring the US in July and August.

For those who didn't get to go to LA or watch the live stream last night, OR who just want to see it again, here's the half-hour segment where the guys shared clips of their new songs:
I just wondered what everyone's thoughts were on the new music. Personally, I loved almost everything I heard. "Try" was the only one I was kind of "meh" about. The others were all catchy, melodic, and MEANINGFUL! I love the emotional depth and substance all these songs seem to have. For once, they're not all love songs, and I love that! The guys said they wrote 75% of the album themselves, and I'm SO excited to hear it!

I love Faceless, one of my all-time favorites! I'm the same as you; I didn't used to read many Nick stories (I'm more of a Brian girl), but over the years, my tastes changed (or maybe I just read all the good Brian stories), and now I find myself reading more Nick ones. One of my other favorites is "Cover Me With Dreams" - amazing romance with a great female character!

Hey Constance, welcome to the forum! I've been a fan since '98 too. What kind of fanfics do you like to read?

The comics are good! I wasn't sure about reading them; I had never read a comic/graphic novel before, either. But after hearing them referenced so often on Talking Dead, I got curious and gave them a try over winter break. It only took me a few weeks to get through all 17 volumes (which are each a few issues) on my Kindle. I do like the show better; I think it has more depth, and I just prefer seeing all the action play out rather than seeing black and white pictures of it, but the comics are well-done. They follow the same basic plot (although so far the show has expanded on storylines that happened very quickly in the comic) and a lot of the same characters, but there are major differences that will keep you guessing as you read them (and later, keep you guessing as you watch the show).

Thanks, Amy! That's awesome that you're all caught up - perfect timing!
I was going through major Walking Dead withdrawal last night... nothing to watch!
