Something that gets on my nerves is the fact that our comuter is in the dining room and my parents work from home. Those do NOT mix! I may be in a writing mood, but since people are always coming in the house, I can't have the peace and quiet I need to write! Listening to certain music helps, but not when people are walking in here and making me move because they need to make a fax or whatever. It's so annoying. And, I get the most inspiration at night, but that's when EVERYONE is home and in the living room. So, they're laughing and talking while I'm sitting here trying to write. Then, LT and my dad go to bed around 10pm leaving me an hour before my mom hounds me to get off the computer. So, I really only have an hour to write and it takes me awhile to just sit there and think about what I'm GOING to write, let alone the actual WRITING.
Sorry, had to vent there, lol.

Aww, that sucks!!! I would hate that! I can't write with anyone in the room or even close to being in the same room. I need to be in my room alone with the door shut and all noises blocked out except my own music. I guess if I were you, I WOULD be doing my writing on paper in my room.
My dad was in a car accident seven years ago, and he busted his knee and broke some ribs, so he spent the summer sleeping in my room because it was too hard for him to get in and out of my parents' waterbed. So I spent the summer sleeping on a couch in the basement, which wasn't even finished then. I didn't have a computer down there, so I had to use the family computer in the den, and that was definitely problematic for writing. No one even knew I did it then, so they wouldn't have understood, not to mention I still can't do it with anyone around, even people that know full well what I'm doing LOL. Somehow I managed to get a lot written that summer, but I think I wrote a lot on paper in the basement too.

Yeah, your den is probably kind of out in the open, isn't it? If so, that's a lot like our dining room.
I can't write in my room until about 11:30pm, because during the day, my parents are downstairs in the garage working and with all the machine's running, it's impossible to think. And then in the evening/night the fan in the hallway is running to cool down the house and so, sometimes my dad gets upset about me having my door and window closed because then "the air can't circulate".
My best place for writing/thinking is on the floor in the bathroom with the fan on, but I can't typically do THAT because my parents have an employee and they don't want him using THEIR bathroom.
ONE good thing is that, in the mornings, my parents are typically downstairs working and only come up a few times and it's only for a few minutes to get coffee or fax something or whatever. But I'm not typically in a writing mood then. It works for other stuff I want to do, but sometimes the fan is on and all the windows are open, so that doesn't exactly give me free reign of the house, lol.

Wow! A lot to read! But I hated getting interrupted when I'm trying to write. That's why I just usually lock myself in my room and ignore everyone! LOL

LOL!!! Yeah... well, they can't take away guitar or singing, because that's my career, lol. So, computer is what gets taken away. I've only had it taken away once and that was when LT and I were fighting while I was at the computer and he threw a mechanical pencil at me and when I dodged it, it made a chip in the monitor, lol.

LOL! My mom says that all the time too. And the only thing I can come back with is..."She started it." Half the time she does, but I do too sometimes, but I'm not going to tell my mom that! LOL
