You know what I hate? Is when, if I'm in a writing mood at night and I'm not allowed on the computer, I'll just write in my journal. And I have REALLY big, sloppy hand-writing, so I'll look at all that I've written and it looks like a lot, because it's like 3 pages, and then when I go to type it, it's less than one page!!! I hate that! It makes me so angry! Does this happen to anyone else?!

^LOL! I do that, but it doesn't make me angry. It's just your handwriting seems to always take up more room then when you're typing on a computer. You're a nut! LOL

Dude! Last night I was trying to write something and when I was done, I looked at it and realized that part of my problem is that when I'm writing, I scratch stuff out! So, that makes a difference! But my handwriting is still HUGE and SLOPPY! lol.

That's why I hate writing by hand. I never do it unless my computer is broken. It's too hard to edit. It gets too messy; I can't stand it LOL. Totally ruins my inspiration.

Yeah, I hear ya. I've been lucky enough to have at least had a computer in my room ever since I started writing... but I didn't always have the internet and couldn't be on the internet any old time I wanted, so I feel you there. Then again, sometimes that was a blessing cause I find I'm more productive when I don't have an internet connection, unless I need to look up something for the story LOL.

Yeah, I could probably write more if I were on my old computer because it doesn't have internet hooked up to it, but this computer is right next to it, so the internet's just a few feet away, lol. But yeah, it's annoying that I can't be on here in the middle of the night, because I'm sure I could write up a storm if that were the case! lol. I've talked my mom into letting me be on here until 1am before, but that was only once, lol.

I used to write on my notebooks and I still keep them but it's so hard to edit and go back to two pages before to change something and then it irritates me and I completely lose my inspiration. But for some reason I can never get inspired enough behind my computer, sitting on a chair either. I got lucky though because when I moved to Netherlands my dad bought me a laptop so now I practically drag it to everywhere -including the beach- and I can write whenever I'm inspired. Total luxury I know. ;D

^ Oh that's cool! I'm going to get a laptop when I can (probably when I'm 18, lol), because I get the most inspiration at night and I think it'd be good to sit in bed with a laptop, you know? lol.

I miss my laptop for just that reason. I always sat on my bed with it. And sometimes when I had the house to myself and couldn't work up any inspiration to write in my room, I would take it somewhere else for a change of scenery, and sometimes that helped me write. I have a desktop now, so I don't have that luxury anymore. But at least my desktop doesn't overheat and crash on me.

Yeah, I'd like a laptop so I could work in different places. This desk right here reminds me of the internet too much! That's not good when I'm trying to write, lol.

Well, actually, I'm the total opposite...LOL. I love to write my stories by hand first, I have a really pretty handwriting, and I concentrate better. It's when I start to type them that I make all the careless mistakes...ask, Amy! LOL

I honestly wish I could do that. I just get frustrated by it because I write by hand physically slower than I type, and even though my handwriting is pretty neat, it gets messy quickly when I'm trying to write fast and then crossing out stuff to reword it. But it would be nice to be able to sprawl on my bed and write LOL. RIP laptop.

LOL true, I love having my laptop on the bed.. now come to think about it, it usually is on my bed with a seperate internet connection itself but in other parts of the house i don't have internet so i just write then and as Julie says it's always good for a change of scenery.
