So what are your thoughts on the new single and any other songs from the album you've heard clips of? Personally, I LOVE "In a World Like This." I like "Permanent Stain," although it sounds too much like "It's Christmas Time Again" without the benefit of being a cheesy Christmas song with a pandaskunk in the video, which makes it inferior. I also like most of the clips they put on YouTube back in April:
I saw there's another video floating around YouTube that has clips of all 12 album tracks, but I've been trying to avoid it because I would like some songs to be a total surprise when I finally get the album on July 30. I love that experience of listening to new BSB songs for the first time and want to hear them the right way.
That said, I'm super excited for the album!!! Anyone else?

Wait it comes out July 30th??? Where have I been! I'm so out of the loop. I knew they were working on a new album but I wasn't aware that the release was so soon. I heard short snippets of some of the new stuff and liked what I heard.
"Permanent Stain" sounds like a One Direction song hahaha. Not complaining, just making note.

The video was cute and thoughtful, but Nick's hand disease is spreading to the others! He should really get that under control, he looked like he was gonna pull something towards the end there.

LMFAO!!!
I loved the video, it was a lot better than what I was expecting! Nick was especially spazzy; his weird dancing and cheesy hand motions made me laugh.

So?! Who else has the new album? Thoughts?? I'm absolutely in love with it! I think it's one of their best and will probably rank right up there with Millennium and Never Gone for me. I've been listening to it for like 7 hours straight LOL.

Oh no! I totally forgot to get it. I got off work 3 hours late then had a birthday party to go to. I'll have to try and get it tomorrow. How horrible of me.

I've been listening to it since last week and it's starting to grow on me. I've found the last few albums don't hit me as quick as their earlier ones because they've moved a little further into the techno/dance beat than my tastes really run, but I always end up loving them after a while anyway. I'm just sad to be missing the concert next week, haven't missed one since 1997

Aww! I absolutely love this album! It's so completely different from TIU, and that's a good thing! Ironically, I think this album is way more "them" than This is Us was LOL. It's a lot more personal; you can tell they had a hand in writing most of the songs. Some of the songs still have that techno/dance beat, but they don't have the same feel of trying too hard to sound relevant that I thought a lot of the songs on TIU had. And there are also those songs that are more "organic," as Kevin would say, that remind me more of Never Gone. I think it's got a great balance. It may be my favorite album yet, but I'm a little too biased right now to say that for sure LOL. I do know that when I tried to rank the songs in order of favorite for a thread on the AC forum yesterday, I had seven songs tied for first place originally LOL - that's half the album! And the other half is good, too; there's not a truly bad song in the bunch. The only potential skip song for me is "Try."

I cannot for the life of me find one!!! Everywhere I go is sold out! :'-( I'm blaming Wiz Khalifia for making me work yesterday and not being able to go find one earlier!

That is so crazy, but I've heard the same thing from several people - Targets all over the country are completely sold out, and so are other stores, apparently! Either that's a good sign that the album is selling well, or these stores just completely underestimated us and did not stock enough. I know my Target did not appear to have very many on the shelves, and I was there right when it opened. Duh, we're 90s girls who still love the Backstreet Boys; of course we're gonna want the CD!

I bought it yesterday at Fred Meyer, but then I realized that Target would probably have a version with bonus tracks. I'm so glad I didn't open the one I bought at Fred Meyer because I was right! I picked it up at Target today. So I'll have to return the other one. Anyway, I'd already heard pretty much the whole album beforehand, so I know most of it. I like it though. Have yet to pin point a favorite though. I think I'll have to listen to it a few more times.

I love that Kevin has so many solos on this album. In contrast, I usually don't mind (kind of like) Howie's solos, but they feel really awkward on this album to me for some reason.

I love all the solos Kevin's getting too! It definitely feels more balanced than their previous albums with Kevin.
