Yay for the revival of the HP thread! I'm not surprised, Dew... anyone who reads them gets addicted; it's a fact! They're just soooo good!
I am way excited for the HBP movie... especially since it was supposed to come out last November! We've been waiting soooo long! You're lucky you just came on board now; at least you only have to wait 5 months!

Yeah, but then after HBP comes out, I'll have to wait until November 19th, 2010 for part 1 of Deathly Hallows just like everyone else. And then after THAT one, we have to wait until July 15th, 2011 for part 2!
Yeah, I've been on Mugglenet all night. LOL! Awesome site.

I'm in the first 10 chapters of COS again. Taking it much slower this time around, but it's mostly cause I just got hit with a TON of crap happening with family and such. Ugh.

Okay...I gotta make this quick cause I still have yet to make dinner, but I found this just too amusing to be left unsaid. Alright, so...I've been reading the Harry Potter series again, as I said before, and try as I might, I just can't read them slowly. I finished most of the second and all of the third books today. LOL! Anyway...I have all 7 hard-cover books, and each book has that paper sleeve on it with the title and the pictures and everything. When I'm reading one of the books, I take the sleeve off so I don't end up ruining it and also, frankly, they annoy the hell out of me when I'm reading. The book starts sliding out of the sleeve when I'm reading it and all that; it's just easiest for me to take it off while I'm reading. Now the hard covers of each book under the sleeves have 2 colors. One color on the actual cover and one color on the spine that extends over the front and back covers. Just so I don't confuse anyone, I'll list them. The Sorcerer's Stone - purple cover, red spine The Chamber Of Secrets - blue-purple cover, green spine The Prisoner Of Azkaban - blue-green cover, purple spine The Goblet Of Fire - red-orange cover, black spine The Order Of The Phoenix - blue cover, silver-gray spine The Half-Blood Prince - purple cover, black spine The Deathly Hallows - pale green cover, golden spineLike I said, I've read most of The Chamber Of Secrets and all of The Prisoner Of Azkaban just today. Didn't have hardly any obligations today, it was awesome. I finished reading The Prisoner Of Azkaban just a few minutes before 7 pm EST, and so I went to the kitchen to make dinner. When I went to wash my hands, I noticed that all of my fingertips (except my thumb on my right hand), and most of my left palm were a lovely shade of blue. The point of all this? Now I understand better why the books have the paper sleeves on them... Feel free to laugh. I know I did!! LOL!!

LOL! I always take the book jackets off too, cause they annoy me and I also don't want them to get all torn up while I'm reading, but I don't think the covers have ever dyed my fingers...

Freakin' Harry Potter...I CAN'T STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've read all 7 books twice and I just started watching the movies for the billionth time...I'll bet anyone anything that within 3 days after I've watched the 5th movie again, I'll start reading the books for the third time.
*hangs head in shame* Hi, my name is Dew and I have officially diagnosed myself with Harry Potter-ism.
Who wants to bet I'll have read the book series at least 8 more times before HBP comes out in theaters?? I'll throw in my whole life savings of about fifteen dollars and eighty-four cents and say I'll have read the books another 10 times by then.

LMAO! And now you see! They are soooo addicting! I haven't read one since end of summer or fall, but when I run out of other books to read and have more free time (a.k.a. summer), I'm sure I'll read some of them yet again. I haven't reread the entire series in order since the year DH came out... usually I start with 3 or 4 and work my way up from there, cause that's where it gets REALLY good.

Where are you, Harry Potter people?? No discussion on the new movie yet?
I just have to gush somewhere, cause I went to the Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago today, and it was awesome!! They had just about every major prop from the movies you can think of there - the real deal! - and costumes from all the major cast members... It was very cool! We even saw the flying Ford Anglia! And I got a strap-on Mad-Eye Moody eye LMFAO... funniest thing ever. Just had to share!
Seriously though, did everyone love the movie? I think it's the best one yet, for sure!! I say that after every one, but the acting is just superb in this one, and it's so funny!! I love it!!

I've been gushing ever since I went to the midnight release!! lol That's seriously awesome about the exhibit!! Did you take pics? I'm seriously jealous lol This one was my favorite too! I'm so glad Steve Kloves is back as screenwriter! The first time I saw it I was comparing each scene to the book, but I loved it the first time. Of course, just as a fan there were some minor complaints, but overall, it was my favorite movie so far. It's really funny and witty and I felt that every scene was entertaining, but also grabbed at my heart during the emotional scenes. I'm also really happy about all the Ron and Hermione bits going on throughout it all. ¢¾ I got so teary eyed when Hermione was crying over Ron-I hate seeing my favorite character crying! But, the hospital scene was about 50X cuter than what I thought it would be! The only disappointment I have as far as Ron/Hermione goes is that there is STILL no mention of S.P.E.W (how hard is it to at least MENTION the house elves?), so that means the kiss won't be the same in the movie...

No, I knew they didn't allow photography, so I didn't even bring a camera. This is the website for it though; it has some pics of some of the stuff that was there. www.harrypotterexhibition.com/ There was SO much; seriously, just about anything of relevance you can name from the movies, was there! It was really well done. I adored the movie too; I think it followed the book pretty well... about as well as any of them and better than some, you know. It will be interesting to see how they handle some things in DH that won't be able to work out exactly the way they do in the books... the SPEW thing is a good point. I know the kiss is going to be in there, but you're right; they might have it work out a little differently. They did that with the Harry/Ginny kiss in this one too. I liked the book version better, when it was just spur of the moment after Quidditch, but oh well. I'm so excited for the next two!!!

Thanks for the link! Speaking of the exhibit, my tata and my aunt went to Chicago and they went to the musuem and the Harry Potter exhibit happened to be there when they went!! When they came back from the trip, they looked SOOO guilty. They told me they went and tried to make me feel better by saying it wasn't all that (yeah right!) lol. But what's great on my part is that they felt so guilty that they got me all kinds of HP things from the gift shop! They got me Hermione's wand, the 2010 calender, the HP^ movie poster, mini movie posters of all the movies, this bookmark thing and some other stuff... lol I came out on the lucky end!
Yeah, I know! Its like they used the Harry/Ginny kiss for Ron/Lavender. Speaking of, I can't help but just make the "ugh" when I see that part where Lavender is hopping on Ron's back in the movie lol
