I just got more ideas to that Jaime-kidnapping-the-babies plot twist! The reason he would kidnap the babies would be because Claire wouldn't let him see them right? But why won't she let him see them? Ah, that got me thinking and suddenly it hit me... what if Jaime... beat them? At first only when he's alone with them and then making up stories to Claire how they fell onto something and got hurt. And then it would keep getting worse, so bad that the babies end up in hospital for it. Claire of course starts to suspect things and confronts Jaime about it, which turns to a heated argument and that's when he starts beating her. She tries to get away and take her kids with her but he catches her, beats up both her and the babies really bad. While he's out getting trashed and drunk (or something similar) Claire escapes with the babies to Nick for safety. This of course will result in Jaime getting a restraining order (in court or something) and is forbidden to visit Claire and the kids which will then lead to him kidnapping the kids. Not because he loves them and want to be with them but only to make Claire suffer. Hahaha oh boy, I have just way too much time on my hands

That's a good idea, but why would Jamie beat the kids enough to make them go to the hospital when he hates the hospital? I don't think Jamie would beat them in the first place. Has he ever hurt Claire intentionally? I can't remember...
MY idea was to have Claire and Jamie get a divorce and Nick and Claire get back together. Meanwhile, Jamie gets the kids once a month or so, seeing as he's in Iowa (I think... I can't seem to remember lately, lol). Anyways, Jamie starts drinking a lot and Claire gets a restraining order against him because she doesn't think it's safe for him to be around the kids because he begins to get violent. After that, a drunk Jamie kidnaps the twins in order to spend time with them and get back at Claire. I dunno... that makes more since to me anyways...

Absolutely no offense to Anna, but I have to agree with dabonezstalker here. Jamie may be an ass, but he's not a wifebeater or a child abuser. For a different story, with a different character, that could be great drama, but I think it's a bit of a stretch for this one. He does have jealousy issues, though, and a drinking problem is not as much of a stretch at all. So with that combination, there's enough of a motive if I were to write that.
By the way, I put up a poll about the sequel idea. Now that there's been so much discussion, I'm just curious to see what everyone really thinks.

Thanks Julie! That just made my day! Yeah, I also think Anna's idea would be good, but I don't think it's meant for this story either.

Ok i've been pretty away from the forum for the last couple of months so i'm trying to keep up with everything, and I voted for Nick and Laureen! For some reason, I have a feeling that Nick would marry Laureen. I don't know why.

NOOO! I don't want Nick to marry Laureen, I want Nick to marry Claire. Not that I don't like Laureen, it's just that Nick and Claire are ment to be together, it's inevtiable. Or at least it better be...nah I'm kidding. I just can't wait to find out what happens!

That is true, I don't like the way she left him either, that was very shady.

Yeah but that happens. I mean I don't blame Claire for leaving Nick like that (because I did almost the same thing in real life) and it just happens. I just believe that it's time to move on for everyone. It doesn't mean that their feelings will be over but as life goes on, even if you try to hold on to the feelings you have felt in the past, you change, you can't help it but you learn to be happy with someone else in a different life although it feels like you shouldn't. Argh.. i guess what i just said was pretty confusing. LOL ;D

Yeah, I agree with you, Jellicle. I don't feel her reasons for leaving him were shady, that was perfectly understandable, but the way she went about doing it, was not. IMO

Yeah, that's whole another story. Just like the Siberia song, argh, I remember reading that chapter like yesterday. I was like "No you won't do it, no Claire!"
