But after that night (I actually originally wrote after tonight......I swear, I'm too into this) one of them has to, I mean HAS to have a reference to Nick in the name.

^ It would be really cute... but would that be too cliched? And would you REALLY name one of your kids for a guy you knew your husband couldn't stand? Even if he was a bit estranged? He's still the babies' father. She'd have a lot of nerve to name one of them after Nick...

^ Yep, you were right! ;D One boy and one girl was a little too perfect for me, and I dunno why, but I just preferred two girls to two boys for her. when someone is pregnant with twins I never think is one of each *lol* I prefer 2 girls too!!! hihihi

It would, but it would be soooo funny. You can just have Claire dream about it though, I'll be happy with that .

In Claire's case it wouldn't be unusual for her to have a boy and a girl, given that it was several different embryos implanted, but when it's the natural way, it's more likely that it's either two boys or two girls. Nevertheless, I think the choice was a good one, a set of girls.... that perhaps Nick could spoil as if they were his own one day? ;D

Oh yeah, she could have easily had a boy and a girl... that would be the ideal, I think, given that they were going to be fraternal twins anyway. That's why I definitely wanted either two boys or two girls, not one of each.
Here's the kicker though - I don't think this will ever be able to come out in the story because there's really no way they could have known this, BUT... Jamie wanted a boy... and the third baby, the one that was aborted, was a boy. It was just too early to tell. But if Jamie knew, wouldn't that be drama, cause he didn't want her to do it in the first place.

Hehe, you've definitely gotten it all planned!! How about naming one of the twins Laura?? Hehehe just kidding, name them whatever you want. oh, and by the way... how did you chose Claire's name? Was it a name of a friend or a name you had always liked?

Ahh, I spent FOREVER agonizing over what to name Claire. It was kind of ridiculous, but I was just looking for that perfect name... I wanted something that wouldn't be very common for someone her age (I know more babies are being named Claire again now, but not 20 years ago), but not some weird Mary Sue name either... something simple and kind of plain and maybe old-fashioned. My top 3 for awhile were Claire, Elaine or Elaina, and Keeley... I'm not sure why Keeley LOL; I think I just thought it was cute at the time. I'm really glad I didn't name her that. Then it was down to Claire and Elaina, and I actually like the name Elaina a lot better, but I think that's why I chose Claire. I was trying to make her as non-Mary Sue as possible, so I didn't want to give her a pretty name, even though Claire is pretty in its simplicity. I actually never did like that name much, but after writing it so long, it's grown on me. It's a good name for the character at least, I think. Anyway, I named Leah's baby Elaina and the kickboxing instructor in BMS Keeley as an homage to my other name choices. LOL
