LOL I know... I love Idol, but they're so cheesy sometimes. I have Bo Bice's album, and it's pretty good, but it's kind of overproduced too... I don't feel like he really got enough creative input on it, cause he was more awesome on the show than his album shows.
I'm listening to: Rob Thomas - Ever the Same

Julie, have you heard Kelly Pickler's new song? It's country. It's not amazing, but it's super catchy.

I just downloaded it so I could hear it... it is pretty catchy! I tend to not like the upbeat country stuff though... most of the country songs I like are the sappy or depressing ballad kind LOL.

Yeah, some of the upbeat stuff is somewhat corny to me. A lot of the country I listen to now is Texas Country, it's edgier.

What's the difference between Texas country and regular country? Like, give me an example of a Texas country song or artist.

Backstreet Boys - Everybody (Extended Version -- with Nick's verse lol)
Now now, I didn't do this on purpose, I have a huge playlist (for my iPod) and after a few spanish songs, this one comes out when I open this particular thread. Can't deny I'm a BSB fan, even iTunes knows it!

Hehe, that's awesome! I'm listening to: Evanescence - Snow White Queen (still got that Evanescence CD in, Rachel LOL - for some reason, I can actually write to Evanescence without getting distracted. That's what I'm doing now. )

Texas Country is like a branch of regualr country, but it's more rockish. Pat Green is probably the most well-known Texas Country artist. I love Cross Canadian Ragweed, they are amazing. "Seventeen" is a really good song they sing.

Sounds good to me! I like rock, so I would probably like that more than regular country.
