Thanks! That was such an exciting chapter , I loved it. And the med student in me loved it so freaking much. Something interesting about caffeine that you might not know is that, while it makes a person feel more mentally alert, it doesn't make someone physically more energetic. Quite the contrary, it inhibits glyconeogenesis (forming new glucose for energy) and promotes lipolysis (using fat for energy) resulting in a slower source of energy. So basically, Nick is doing himself a disservice all around for having Red Bulls before concerts: less energy, more chance of making his heart race, etc. as you explained so well in the chapter. I totally thought it wasn't cancer related, though. So I was surprised in the comments when some people hadn't thought that. Anyway, good job. I'm glad you'll be getting more done during the break. Can't wait to read more!

Thanks!! I'm glad you liked it, and that means a lot coming from a med student especially! Good points about the caffeine. (LOL I found it ironic that I've been looking up caffeine overdose while drinking mass quantities of Code Red Mountain Dew while I write. ) Drinking Red Bull instead of water would also dehydrate him, which could lead to an electrolyte imbalance, which also could have contributed. He's basically making bad choices all around LOL. Hopefully this will be the wake-up call he needs. Thanks again!

So, I'm afraid to ask... is he actually gonna be okay?? No wait- don't answer that. I don't wanna know. Thanks for not making us wait too long!

You mean for right now, or in the long run? Not that it matters, cause I'm not gonna tell you anyway. But hopefully I'll have Chapter 43 done in the next couple days, and you can at least find out if he's okay for now.

Oh darn, I was keeping a close watch on AC! I guess these chapters are a little more complicated to write though. Can't wait for the next part! And Amy, I'm going to venture and say that he'll be ok for now because Julie said she was about halfway through the story, and I don't suppose they'll spend the next 40 chapters mourning Nick's death or anything like that.

Yeah, I have about a page done of the next chapter. Hopefully I can write the rest today, but I also need to finish cleaning my apartment and go grocery shopping, and I'm heading over to my parents' house for dinner tonight, so it may not get done till tomorrow. Depends on how fast I can write. And yeah, good point. Not sure what I'd write about the rest of the story if I killed him halfway through LOL.

Well what if this was the beginning of him dying? Like a lot of other crap could go down. haha

Woot woot! You were fast So, let me know if you don't like these medical comments of mine, but here goes: although it's true that the thumb has its own pulse and might throw someone off, that would be when you're feeling someone else's pulse. If you're measuring your own pulse, it won't really matter if you accidentally measure it on your thumb instead of your radial artery. It was cool of you to include that though. It certainly adds credibility to all the medical stuff that gets mentioned, or at least it does for me.

Oh, haha, that makes sense! I've just always heard, don't use your thumb, but I guess it wouldn't really matter on yourself. Thanks!

Great chapters, Jules! For some reason, I thought that they would run into one of the guys while trying to get to the ER. And, FOR SURE, I thought that Cary would have made him tell the guys... You keep tricking me! LOL But, I'm loving this story so much !

Thanks, Favi! I actually just finished outlining the next few chapters in my head, and finally, I know which chapter it will finally happen, that the guys will find out. There are reasons I've been delaying that moment so long, but it WILL come. Soon. Stay tuned! I'm glad you're loving it; thank you!!

Hi everyone, I haven't been to this site since I finished reading BMS nearly three years ago. My lack of patience makes it hard for me to read in-progress stories, lol. Plus I always seem to be too busy during school to keep on top of my reading. But today I decided to check this site once again, and I'm so happy I did! I spent the last 4 hours glued to my computer reading "Curtain Call". I love the story so far and I'm anxiously waiting an update! And now that I've graduated I will hopefully keep in touch a little better this time around. =)
