I'm re-reading "Salem's Lot" by Stephen King. Twilight got me all in vampire mode. And as much as I love Twilight, I still prefer scary vampires LOL.

I'm re-reading HP5, reading Mel's Tree and I want to check out a book called "Naughts and Crosses" tomorrow.

It's really good! Scary! This is my second time reading it, and it's still unsettling. It actually took me two tries to get into it the first time because there's a lot of characters and a lot of time spent on set-up; I kinda got bored and stopped reading for awhile and then couldn't get started again cause I lost track of all the characters. I started from the beginning again later on and got into it then. It's basically the story of a small town taken over by vampires, and he spends a lot of time letting you get to know the town before there's much vampire action. But in the end, that makes it better.

oohh, sounds pretty good in a scary way! It kind of reminds me of "30 days of night", I'm sure it's probably different though.

Yeah, same concept, just set in Maine and written before 30 Days of Night was ever conceived. It is scary, and the way it builds so slowly makes it eerier and more suspenseful.

sophie kinsella wrote the confessions of a shopaholic series which is a really good series very funny great british fun about a woman named becky who is addicted to shopping when she can't even afford it. She also wrote a book called Remember Me about a girl who was in an accident and lost some of her memory and Two other stand alone books that are great, Can You Keep A Secret about a girl who can not keep all her secrets and The Undomestic Goddess a girl who makes a huge mistake and runs away.

I didn't know Nicholas Sparks had a new book out. But I can understand what you mean. The last few newish ones I've read by him have been the same way to me
I'm reading a book called "Sick Girl" by Amy Silverstein; it's a memoir about a woman's experience going through a heart transplant. I bought a couple books like that to read for my new story, thinking that would help me do some research and inspire me at the same time. It's a really good book, very interesting!
