Wow, this board is dead lately LOL.
For anyone who is reading, I just got home from the best concert ever in Bloomington! My throat is raw from screaming, my feet look like they're turning gangrenous from the blisters the stupid platform flip-flops I bought gave me, and I think I suffered some hearing loss... my ears are still ringing an hour later. It was freaking LOUD in there, and when the show ended, I was surprised at how much my ears were ringing, cause after eight Bsb or Bsb-related concerts, I thought I was used to the screaming. Then I realized that this is the first indoor arena show I've been to since the Millennium tour! Every other concert since then has been either outdoors or at the House of Blues, and I forgot how amplified the screaming is when it's echoing off walls instead of just floating off into the night. It was crazy, but it was so fun!!! I had the best time ever; I think this show beat not only my Never Gone concert, but even Detroit!
So I met up with Jen, Liane, and Cherelle, who are all awesome, and Liane and I got to go to soundcheck. I actually enjoyed myself at this soundcheck just as much as my "VIP" experience... it was basically the same, only without the autographs (although we still got another copy of the autographed photo LOL) and the Brian hug. But we still got to shake their hands and say hi, and I think there were only two other girls in my picture, so it really wasn't that much different than VIP.
AJ was the only one on stage when we came in for soundcheck, and it was just him up there messing around and singing and talking to us for the longest time. Then finally Brian came out, and the two of them goofed around for awhile... then AARON showed up! Yes, Aaron Carter! Even though I think Aaron is kind of a douche these days, I have to admit, I was pretty excited about that, just to say I've seen him in person LOL. Also, it was just cute that he was there. Eventually Nick came onstage, and he was wearing a woman's slip over his clothes LMFAO. I have no idea why, but it was hilarious, and I have a great pic of him in it. He took it off before they started to sing though. Then finally, the birthday boy joined us! Let me just say it again: if it weren't for those other four, Howie would totally be my favorite LMAO. I've been on such a Howie kick lately; he is just too sweet and cute.
So they sang Treat Me Right again, as well as One in a Million and Inconsolable. All of them sounded amazing. I got videos... full songs or close to it this time, cause I got new, larger memory cards (and filled both of them before the end of the concert! So I have 4 gigs of videos and pictures from this show LOL).
The Q&A part wasn't all that good... Brian's question was, YET AGAIN, WASTED by this girl asking "Can I get a hug?" That was her question. I guess technically it is a question... but come on!!! How freaking selfish. She could have asked him that when she met him and let someone ask a real question that he could answer. But, being the sweetheart that he is, he hopped off the stage and went over to give her a hug and take a picture with her. Bitch. LOL The girl who asked Nick a question had totally written it out, memorized it, and rehearsed it LOL. You could totally tell; it was pretty funny. She had nice things to say, but it was very scripted. And the local radio DJ got to ask Howie's question, which I thought was a little unfair, but oh well.
I got to shake their hands and say hi again before our picture, and I didn't ask for any hugs this time, but I was able to talk to all of them and call them by name, and Nick didn't freak me out this time LOL. I got to stand in front of Howie and Brian for the picture, so I was pretty excited about that. Liane was right in front of Nick, so that was perfect for her too. Oh, I also got Howie a birthday card LOL, which we all wrote on and signed, and he was opening it as we were getting our picture taken, so I thought that was cool, that he actually read it. That was kind of a last-minute decision on my part; I bought the card on my way out of town and wrote my message on it in the car in the parking deck when I got there LOL, but I'm glad I did.
The concert itself was incredible. Our seats were in row 14, which is really only one row up from the seats Laureen and I had in Detroit, but it seemed a lot closer because the rows started basically right in front of the stage. So they were the best seats I've ever had. There were still heads and hands and posters in the way, but not as bad... also I sacrificed my feet to be taller with the shoes I got LOL. Well worth it.
It being Howie's birthday was fun... they sang Happy Birthday to him at soundcheck and again at the show, and someone from the fan club brought a bunch of purple balloons for us to blow up during Howie's solo and send bouncing around the arena. Howie noticed and commented during his song, and it was really cool. I have a video of that too.
I have quite a few videos this time and hopefully some decent pictures, although I didn't take nearly as many pictures as last time because my videos came out better. So hopefully these videos will be good. I'll load everything onto my computer soon and upload some stuff this weekend.
