Aww... I actually like Pearl Harbor. Yeah, it's cheesy but I still enjoy it. Especially the soundtrack. Also, I'll take metrosexual Nick over some of the other looks he's had LOL and yes he does have perfect eyebrows!

LOL I do like Pearl Harbor too (and yes, the soundtrack is pretty). That song is just funny. Metro Nick is definitely better than ghetto Nick; that is the only good thing about his relationship with Paris, she got rid of ghetto Nick for us LOL. And yes, yes, his eyebrows are perfect!!

So... this is probably more pertinent to Broken than it is to Curtain Call, but yesterday I had to go see the radiation therapy wing of the hospital my university's at and I couldn't help but remember the chapter where you describe Nick's radiation doctors in Broken. It was pretty much right on... no weird bats or anything like that (am I remembering this right?) but the guy who was showing us around looked exactly as your description made me imagine Nick's radiation doctor. LOL! (does this even make any sense?! LOL) ETA: ok, found it, chapter 98. LOL. By the way, it's probably inaccurate to say that it took less than an hour to do the calculations for Nick's tumor. The physicist showing us around yesterday said it took him 9 hours for one tumor alone. Granted, it was in a much more complicated place than the leg, but just goes to show how difficult it is to do all those calculations. I guess you're finding out about several inaccuracies as you research for Curtain Call, though, right? Also... let me know if you need any info! I'm just a first year med student, so I don't know a whole lot, but I might be able to help

LMAO! I know just what you're talking about... that is too funny!! Yeah, I probably didn't do much research for that chapter... all I remember about writing Chapter 98 and around there is that I wanted to hurry through it to get to the end of 99! I probably shouldn't have even bothered with the radiation thing, but I guess they needed to exhaust all options before going to amputation. If I ever get back to novelizing Broken, I will probably do things differently, and I will have to research all over again. Most of my research was for the choppage stuff, more than the cancer... partly because I was absolutely clueless about that aspect, and partly because the timing was better - when I started writing Broken, I didn't even have internet in my bedroom, so I literally had to do all my research on my mom's computer in our den, then delete all my history so she wouldn't see what I was looking up LOL, and save everything I thought I would need to a floppy disk to take back to my old computer in my room. It was a huge hassle! By the time I got to the choppage, I had a laptop and was away at college, so I could research to my heart's content when no one was around, and I put a lot more time into it. I am even more anal about researching than I was then, but the choppage stuff is what did it. Thanks, I'll let you know if there's something I need that I can't find, and maybe you can help!
