Aww thanks, Amy! LOL sorry to confuse you! I don't usually write in first person, and I don't usually care for stories that switch around between different character's POV, but it was either that or do the whole thing in Cary's, and I thought it would add something to do part of it in Nick's. I think I'm gonna write one more in Cary's and then switch back to Nick for awhile. I'm actually really enjoying writing in first person! It's something different for me, and it's fun! And now I've gotten so used to it, it's harder to write in third for my other stories... I've gotten to the point where I think the lines in first person in my head, and then I have go, "Oh wait, wrong story" when I'm working on anything else LOL. But I'm glad to know I can pull off first person. I actually started another story awhile ago that's in first; it's on the backburner for now until I finish some other stuff and come back to it, but it's good to know I'll be able to write it all that way. Thanks again; I'm glad you liked Chapter 17! I was worried these last few chapters have been a little too cute/fluffy, but I think they're needed for the character development, mostly the relationship between the two of them. Glad you're liking it!

Oh don't worry, it's not too confusing. It's just..... there was something in the back of my head going, "Something's not right here.... Julie's stories aren't this confusing, where did my brain go? How am I reading this wrong?" I think it just took me a little while to realize that it's in first person and my inner brain was still wanting it to be the same POV the whole way through because that's what I'm used to reading from you. But you are doing an excellent job, like I said! And it's not too cute/fluffy. I know that writing first person sometimes can make you feel that way, but trust me, as long as you remember to write out what the characters are thinking, it won't come off that way.

Good, glad it's not too confusing! LOL I think the only stories I've written in first person in the last 9 years have been short stories. Footprints and The World Will Know Your Name are the only recent ones I can think of. But oddly enough, this one I just knew I was going to write in first person from the beginning.

Well... I thought you were messing with us Julie, about having Nick put ice on his hair, but I that was before I read today's news: www.20minutos.es/noticia/793041/0/gorro/quimioterapia/cabello/A special hat that they freeze and put on their hair for about 15 minutes after each session, and it works in 85% of patients!

Yes! I had never heard of such a thing either, until I came across it researching for this story. These "penguin caps" (I don't know if that's the same brand your article's about, but same idea) are used more in Europe than here in the States, but the success rate is so high, I'm surprised they're not more prevalent here yet. That said, when I was really reading about how they're used, they sound like a huge hassle - you have to have lots of them, and you switch them every 20-30 minutes so they're always frozen, and you have to leave them on before and after treatment for a few hours, too. You also are only supposed to wash your hair once a week to avoid putting extra stress on it. I can't stand going more than a day without washing my hair, so I kind of think if I were in that situation, I'd rather just let it fall out and go bald than go around with limp, greasy hair. But for people who are really self-conscious about it, it seems like a solution that actually works!

I'm pretty sure my mother-in-law used a cold cap when she had chemo a few years ago, but she was on such a strong dosage that she still lost her hair. The weird thing was that her hair grew back curly when it had been straight all her life!

^I've heard that that happens sometimes, where it grows in a different texture or slightly different shade. That's another reason I think I'd let mine fall out, just to see if it grew back differently. It'd be fun to have curly hair for a change!

I think I would let mine fall out too, just because it sounds gross having to walk around with dirty hair all the time. Plus, I think I'd feel so sick that it would be a relief not to have to worry about washing my hair, combing it, etc.

Okay I have one chapter I've been hoarding for like two weeks at this point LOL. I haven't posted it yet because I haven't written any more since and am not sure when I will. I'm going to be out of town this weekend and part of next, and I have zero energy to write after school. When I do write next, it will be for Undead, since it's my turn next and my part is half-written. But after that, hopefully more CC!

Chapter 22 is up!
Finally had a free weekend to write. It's a short chapter, but I pretty much just needed it to bridge the gap from where I left off to the start of the tour, which will be the next chapter. Thanks for being patient with me!

Good chapter!! I felt like things were starting to move along in this one. You know, getting closer to tour and everything. I'm glad you were able to write more for it!

Thanks! Next chapter will be New York, so things will definitely pick up at that point. I think I'm easily a third of the way into the story; I'm guessing it will be like 60-70 chapters... NOT Broken length.

hahaha for a minute there during this last chapter, I was thinking, "Isn't this moving a little fast?" But yeah then I realized, "Wait- this isn't Broken... it's bound to be shorter." LOL

Chapter 23 of “Curtain Call” is finally up! Sorry for keeping you waiting. Just an FYI, for those who have been reading the story on Absolute Chaos, it has been affected by the glitch that is preventing some updated stories from showing up on the Most Recent page. Chapter 23 IS up there, though, and if you’re a member of AC and have it favorited there, you should have received an email notification. Here is the direct link to the story, for those who want to read and review there: absolutechaos.net/viewstory.php?sid=10159If you prefer reading on AC, you might want to favorite it if you haven’t already, so that you’ll get an email with the link when I update, until this glitch is resolved. Thanks for reading!
