Thanks, guys! Glad you're all caught up, Estrella! ;D
It was partly because of BMS that I decided to go the opposite direction with this one... I needed a challenge, and that was it. But also, it just felt like the right way to go with this story from the beginning, sad as it is.

GREAT chapter as usual! Cannot wait to find out what happens next.
Now this shows how caught up in your stories I am, Julie: I was just watching a clip of Nick that he shared on his twitter and I kept thinking "wow, he looks really good for someone who's on the brink of death!". XD

LMFAO Aww. <-- as I'm still laughing. Thanks, though! Glad you liked the chapter. I'm hoping to at least get started on the next one this weekend.

W00T that was so good, but so brutal to get through. Was totally on the verge of tears.

Can't wait to find out what happens next. I'm also really enjoying that hosted story "Fracture". I really hope she's not given up on it!

Me too! Don't worry, I won't let her give up on it. *pokes Sarah* She's just been busy, I think; she's a grad student, so she has a lot going on.

I'm such a nerd. I recognized a Babinski sign test description in the latest chapter. (that was on purpose, right?)

I finished Curtain Call tonight! The last three chapters are up. I'm so excited; I haven't finished a novel since BMS in January of 2008 LOL. It feels awesome to finish a story!! Let me know what you think of the ending.

Oh wow what an ending! I absolutely loved it. Surprisingly, I was able to keep the tears away but I think it's because it was so peaceful and hopeful. Once again Julie, you've written another masterpiece. It makes me sad though that it's over because now I don't have anything to look forward to, in terms of stories. I've been checking your site every day for almost a year now hoping for an update (the same way I did back when Broken and By My Side were still being written). It's going to feel empty without it.

Aww, thanks so much, Anna! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I knew it wasn't going to have a happy ending, but I tried to make the last chapter uplifting, at least. I wanted Cary to find happiness, eventually. And Nick at least died peacefully. I'm a little sad it's over, too, but I have so many other in-progress stories that need my attention, it's a good thing! I don't know when the next time I'll attempt another story like this will be, probably not for a long time, but you know me... I love my tearjerkers and medical dramas, so I'm sure there will be another down the road when I have a fresh idea. Thanks so much for reading and posting feedback!!
