I know!! With this story, there's Thriller of course, but with 00Carter, there's so much more! The moonwalking penguin and the songs in the musical episode... plans for Season 2 that MJ was involved in... It just shows you there not only how much of fans we really were of him, but how huge a pop culture icon he was.

Thanks, Gozde!! Yep, the new chapter will be up... I guess technically today later! Wow, you're right about MJ; I didn't even think about that... We put the Thriller video on the site as a tribute, but I kinda forgot about Nick singing it in that chapter. Rose wrote that weeks ago; it is kinda weird that we posted it just a few days before he passed... Okay, I never thought of that. Cause I'm quoting Julie, but yeah Gozde, I wrote that a couple weeks in advance, and decided at random with Julie, how fun would it be to quote Thriller? Cause I'm a big fan of his music and videos. But to post it just before he passed... How weird. Slightly creepy lol.

And yes, he TOTALLY influences our writing Gozde lol. We were talking and started counting just how many MJ influences we actually have in 00Carter. There are SO many. I know!! With this story, there's Thriller of course, but with 00Carter, there's so much more! The moonwalking penguin and the songs in the musical episode... plans for Season 2 that MJ was involved in... It just shows you there not only how much of fans we really were of him, but how huge a pop culture icon he was. We go MJ crazy in 00Carter. He was totally a huge pop culture icon, 00Carter goes to take in every reference we can, and make fun of it a bit in good fun. But with the songs, the moonwalking, oh yeah, totally a homage to one of the biggest musical influences in history.

Just read Chap 34!!! It was sooo good! I loved the bickering between Howie and AJ and Howie calling AJ as MJ! Another Michael Jackson tribute!! I love how you portray AJ, so dark and "twisted", his view on society and everything. I loved Howie's reaction to the zombies, LOL. I'd have expected a snide comment from AJ though! I think one thing I love the most about this story is how you visualize everything. When I'm reading the story, I feel like I'm watching it, the words are turning into pictures in my head. That's simply brilliant, ladies. Oh by the way, I think there are two "founds" in this sentence, you may want to correct it: "They’d found no one found inside, not even employees, which, once AJ thought about it, wasn’t shocking."

Ooh, thanks for catching the typo! I missed that in my proofreading!
Rose has written all the AJ parts so far, so I can say objectively that I think AJ might be my favorite character in this story, for exactly the reason you said - his perspective on everything is so different from the other characters, it's kind of refreshing. I kinda like the dark, emo attitude LOL. And I think I'm gonna enjoy how his character will develop over time, in this new world.
Thanks for the feedback, as always! =D

No problem! AJ is one of my favorite character in the story as well and Rose is doing a wonderful job with portraying him.. He's dark and pessimistic but also has a twisted humor side which I fell in love with. Like you said, he's a very refreshing character. And he was the only one reacting the coolest when he saw the zombies, which kinda gives a lot about his character as well. He has the attitude of "well, the society was corrupted enough and for me they were long gone anyway so it doesn't matter now that they turned into a bunch of grey-skinned undead creatures with purple scars. They were not more of a human before either." LMAO or is this just my overworking imagination? =)

That's a good way of looking at it. AJ is the one who can almost embrace the post-apocalyptic world because his view of society before was so crappy anyway... it's almost like starting over, and it gives him some freedom from the limits put on him by society. Aside from the zombies, he could almost consider it a good thing, in a way.

^Exactly. At least, next to zombies, he won't be considered as an outsider. LOL

Writing wise, I really like Nick and AJ. AJ is just such a different viewpoint from the others, it's really refreshing, cause it's such a complete contrast. My fave to read is actually Brian. And it's just because we ripped everything away from him. Julie's done such a good job capturing how that affects him, and changes him. Easiest to write? Nick lol. Like I told Julie, his thoughts are basically my brain when hyped up on Code Red lmao. No problem! AJ is one of my favorite character in the story as well and Rose is doing a wonderful job with portraying him.. He's dark and pessimistic but also has a twisted humor side which I fell in love with. How would AJ react to all this, since everyone else freaked out? And I decided he'd still be WTF about it, but at the same time, not as shocked as the others, cause he so believed humans/society were so corrupt, this could happen. Not your imagination, that's totally how he sees it. His view is completely affected by what people diagnosed as a disease, (depression) but it's actually what makes him able to handle himself once the world ends. Not to mention, he's now free to be himself, without being an outsider, a clean slate. So it's a mixed blessing for him.

I just wanted to say I am in love with this story and I am always in anticipation for the nxt chapter. I love the way you portray the guys in this universe and it is just and all around fun story. It has been a while since I have been super, checking every day excited about a story. Great job ladies, keep it up. I love the Brian chapters because they are so heart wrenching, I love AJ because of his attitude about the whole thing and the 1st Nick/zombie chapter was great, very 28 days later. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Thanks! It's so good hearing that. We were totally nervous about the zombie twist, so I for one, love hearing people say how much they love it. Thanks for the compliments! LOL Nick's chapter was totally a homage to the zombie classic hospital scene, ala Resident Evil 2, and 28 days later... Again, we appreciate your feedback! Stay tuned Sunday for the next chapter
