Surprised none of my HP girls started a thread about this yet, but did you all hear the big news?! Deathly Hallows is going to be split into TWO movies! One's going to be released in November 2010, and the other in May 2011. It will be a looooong six months in between, but it'll be so worth it to have all that detail from the book included! I can't wait!!! Details at mugglenet.com

GOOD! They aren't making them too far apart, or they won't be released too far apart.

Yeah, I bet they'll make it all at once, like one huge movie. I wish they'd show it all at once with just like a 15-minute intermission in between... but I guess they'll make more money this way, and they won't have to worry about complaints from parents of kids with short attention spans LOL.

That would be me when it comes to Harry Potter! LOL I will admit it. It's front page news on Yahoo! LOL
Last 'Harry Potter' Book Becomes 2 Films Thursday March 13 5:50 AM ET
Harry Potter was the center of seven novels, but he'll star in eight films. The final book in the wildly successful series will be made into two films, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.
Producers are expected to announce Thursday that J.K. Rowling's last "Potter" installment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will be split into two parts on the big screen. The first film is slated for release in November 2010, with part two following in May 2011.
"It was born out of purely creative reasons," producer David Heyman told the Times. "Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book."

The two final "Potter" films will be shot concurrently, much like the blockbuster trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy novel "The Lord of the Rings"
Another famous Tolkien tome, "The Hobbit" is also being split into two live-action movies set for back-to-back shooting to begin next year.
Filming on the sixth "Potter" flick, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," began in September.
"It's been brilliant," said star Daniel Radcliffe. "It's also, I think, the funniest of the films so far."
The "Potter" film franchise has pulled in $4.5 billion at the worldwide box office.

HBP the book has some really funny parts... particularly with Ron and Lavendar... and Phlegm (Fleur)... and Harry being a smart ass... and so on. For all its dark stuff, I think it is the funniest book.

I'm excited about this one too, I'm getting so caught up on the 7th one, I forgot the 6th one hadn't even been released yet. LOL I loved Harry being a smart ass, though. That was awesome.

I might see The Hobbit when that comes out; I did read that book in 8th grade and it was pretty good once I got into it. I never got into the other LOTR movies though... the first one felt like the loooongest movie in the world, yet it ended so suddenly, I was just like, "Huh?" I never saw the second or third one.
